Maple Pecan Sticky Buns

Here’s an easy recipe for Sticky Buns.  What makes them easy to make is because the recipe uses frozen bread dough.  You can certainly make your own dough, but the frozen dough works great.  All you have to do is thaw your dough out (1 loaf at a time).  Be sure to use this dough as soon as it’s thawed or the dough will begin to rise.  Chop your pecans ahead of time to you can work fast once the dough has been rolled out.  These are great for an addition to breakfast or as a snack or anytime you choose!  Yummy gooey and soft.  Be sure to not over bake.

Ingredients:
1/4 cup melted butter
1/4 cup pure maple syrup
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/3 package frozen bread dough, (1 loaf), thawed
4 tbsp. butter, softened
1/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Instructions:

Pour melted butter into the bottom of a 13-by-9-inch baking pan. Drizzle evenly with maple syrup, then sprinkle with brown sugar and pecans; set aside.

Roll out dough into a 12-by-16-inch rectangle. Spread softened butter over the surface. Stir together sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle over butter. Roll up dough (starting with the short side) and pinch seems to seal.

Cut dough into 9 slices and place in prepared pan. Cover and let stand in a warm place for 45 minutes to 1 hour or until doubled in size. Preheat oven to 350°F. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes.

Let stand for 5 minutes, then invert rolls onto a serving platter.

Makes 9 rolls.
