Festive Coconut Macaroons

 

Ingredients:

 

4 egg whites

2/3 cups sugar

1/4 cup all-purpose flour

1/8 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon almond extract

4 cups coconut

1/4 cup red candied cherries

1/4 cup green candied cherries

 

Directions:

 

Grease and lightly flour cookie sheets.

In a large bowl, beat egg white until foamy.

Add sugar, flour, salt and almond extract. Blend well.

Stir in coconut and red and green cherries.

Drop onto a greased and floured cookie sheets by tablespoon 2 inches apart.

Bake at 325 for 18 minutes.
