Original Red Velvet Icing

1 cup milk
5 Tablespoons flour
Pinch of salt
1 cup butter (softened)
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
Add milk to flour and salt and cook 5-7 on low until thick, cool thoroughly.
Meanwhile cream butter and sugar for about 7 minutes.
Add cooled flour and milk paste a little at a time.
Beat until fluffy (about 5 minutes).
Stir in vanilla.
Mix well.
